An event sporsored by Smart Home Albania
This Monday reserved a special event not to be missed with architecture enthusiasts; an encounter with the future; the future of architecture, of the way we create, and of the profession as a whole.

The international architect, Matthias Hollwich,, co-founder of Architizer.com and HWKN Architecture , New York based studio ,with offices in Munich, Miami, Berlin, Riyadh, and London, rated as one of the 10 most innovative architecture studios in the world, shared with the Albanian public a completely new approach with the integration of artificial intelligence at every step of the creative process in architecture.

Hollwich presented how AI can serve as a creative partner and catalyst of innovation in architecture, in two events — a lecture with students of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (UPT), and a presantation followed by professional discussion at the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD).

In his presentation, he emphasized that artificial intelligence is not a replacement for the architect, but a tool that sets creative thinking free from routine, giving the professionist the opportunity to focus on creativity, strategy and social impact.

Through this methodology, the HWKN team has been using AI in all steps of the creative process for 3 years now; to deeply analyse the requirements of a project, generate hundreds of conceptual ideas and co-create the final concepts in close communication with the client.
This is a revolutionary breakthrough in the creative process, where digital tools empower critical thinking, rather than replace it.

In the panel discussion that followed the lecture, with the participation of Matthias Hollwich, Dr. Ani Panariti Tola, Prof. Assoc. Skender Luarasi and Architect Olsi Efthimi, an in-depth debate took place on how this technology is changing the design process, the role of the architect, the relationship between the context and creator, and the possible risks that this technology brings on the table.
The discussion underlined that while AI opens up endless dimensions for creation, design, and branding, it also requires strengthened critical thinking and an ethical awareness of the profession.

Matthias Hollwich and his team have already started the practical application of this methodology in real projects in various markets around the world for three years now.
Currently, in Sharjah,, UAE, has begun the construction of Distric 11, the first architectural proejct that has been fully researched, visioned and planned in AI, a tangible example of how collaboration between humans and technology is transforming the construction and design process on a global scale.

In this new era, Architecture is expanding into complete products, experiences, and ecosystems that go beyond the building itself.
The architect of the future will be able to create at an incredible speed, think in many dimensions and use artificial intelligence as a collaborator in the process of ideation, analysis and communication.

As Hollwich sees this moment :
"We can't predict l the future – bu we can shape it it."
This event marked a turning point for the community of architects in Albania, opening a much-needed discussion on how technology is reshaping creativity and the profession.
This event was organised by PIK ARK, with the support of Smart Home Albania,
EVEREST SHPK, and partners like Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) , Fakultetin e Arkitekturës dhe Urbanistikës, UPT.
