Eurocucina once again welcomed visitors and representatives of the international Design at the Salone del Mobile, which was hold from June 7th to 12th 2022 at Rho Fiera in Milan.
Smeg unveiled its new products at the stand M22 – M28 PAD 11, with a particular focus to built-in domestic appliances where innovation and sustainability blends with technology and design.
Among the new products, the new Galileo Project received particular attention: a new oven range that revolutionizes the approach to cooking thanks to the Multicooking technology, a new system that allow to combine traditional, steam and microwave functions. Omnichef, the cutting edge of the project, is the multifunction oven that combines the three technologies in only one product and positions itself among the range of 60 and 45 cm. Smeg didn’t compromise on design: Dolce Stil Novo, Linea and Classica aesthetics continue to characterize products with elegant and contemporary lines.

The Galileo line of ovens welcomes and combines a totally renewed cavity with three different cooking modes to offer the highest performance and optimal results: traditional, steam and microwave cooking. The combination of the three technologies is divided into as many ranges designed to achieve professional results in the home environment. So it will be possible to combine three appliances into one and have more space available in the kitchen.
The Omnichef range represents the spearhead of the new generation of SMEG ovens: a new cooking approach, global and dynamic, expression of the most advanced Multicooking technology that allows you to combine traditional, steam and microwave cooking in sequence or simultaneously in a single product. Two cooking approaches, respectively Multistep and Multitech, which enhance the ingredients at a professional level and make the culinary experience unique and personal, making it intuitive and intelligent, with a time saving of up to 70%. Cooking technologies and preparation approaches are set up via the touch display, which is a distinctive element of the range.
The Steam range combines traditional cooking with the benefits of variable dispensing steam. Advanced technologies guarantee, with speed and precision, high quality steam without any aesthetic impact on the design of the product, perfectly combined with SMEG kitchen appliances. The steam range consists of three families of products that meet every need, supporting those who take their first steps in the kitchen and those who want professional results.
SteamOne combines traditional cooking with the activation of steam injections between 20% and 40%, ideal for pizza and bakery. Equipped with a totally redesigned cavity and new lights for perfect visibility, the SteamOne oven counts on a technological advancement that helps to reduce preparation times, cooking different courses at the same time, without any mixing of odors. The 800 ml tank allows you to use up to 6 hours of steam, for the best cooking experience.
Steam100 offers continuous steaming with the addition of steam between 20% and 100%, with the addition of special functions such as sous vide cooking, barbecue, stone cooking and air frying. The presence of the Single-point probe also allows you to cook meat and fish to perfection, identifying the temperature at the heart of the ingredient. To ensure the best cooking experience, the Steam100 oven is equipped with the soft open - soft close system and a simple and intuitive interface.
Steam100PRO adds to the combined steaming between 20% and 100% and pulse steaming a professional touch, with maximum energy efficiency (A++). Ten steam functions are supported by a large 2-liter tank and a high-performance Fill and hide loading system, which allows the tank to be filled even when the oven is closed. Combined steaming is complemented by professional functions and algorithms such as sous vide cooking, barbecue, stone cooking and air frying. The Multi-point probe allows you to identify up to three zones within the ingredient with maximum precision and activate gentle cooking ΔT to obtain soft and juicy meats.
In the Omnichef and Steam100PRO ovens, professional algorithms accompany the user in a simple and intuitive user experience thanks to the presence of the Smartcooking automatic cooking system that offers 150 preset recipes, and the Sametime function that allows you to prepare a single dish, with different ingredients ready at the same time.
The Microwave range combines traditional cooking with the benefits of microwaves. The SpeedwaveXL oven with 60 cm cavity and with 5 cooking levels provides a more spacious platform than the traditional microwave, which saves up to 40% of time and cooks dishes from the inside, avoiding burning them. Innovation is the flagship of the combined microwave oven. Inverter and Stirrer technologies produce more accurate temperature control and energy savings as well as active and controlled distribution of microwaves, which spread evenly, overcoming the need for the rotary plate. In addition, the technology of the double chimney creates a special air flow inside the cavity that reduces condensation during cooking. The combined microwave oven is also equipped with special functions such as popcorn, melt (to quickly melt soft foods such as butter or chocolate) and soft, which ensures cakes and ice creams the perfect texture in a few minutes.
To complete the generation of Galileo ovens, a range of practical accessories designed to ensure maximum versatility and optimal results for every type of dish. The maxi-size baking tray, available in 20 and 50 mm versions, has 20% more space than traditional trays and adapts to the most full-bodied preparations. Stone refractory stone absorbs heat and allows you to cook a crispy pizza in just a few minutes. The reversible BBQ tray perfect for preparing meat and fish dishes and finally the Airfry tray, for a crispy fried but with a lower intake of cooking fats.
