At the fair, visitors will walk inside stands that will be, at the same time, architectural and communicative elements. Spaces that will welcome visitors to show the individual brands’ new collections and lifestyle concepts. This year’s exhibition project will also bear the signature of architect Mario Cucinella. He has designed the Design with Nature installation, hosted in S.Project Hall 15: 1,400 square meters that will narrate a virtuous ecosystem that would like, ideally, represent the future of living. “If the events of the last few years have made us rediscover the value of sociality and sharing,” reflects the architect, “this feeling of ours still has to find a balance with what surrounds us, both with the spaces we live in and the territories we occupy and with the resources we have”. From this reflection, the three theses of which the installation becomes an amplifier branch out: the urgency of ecological transition, the house as the first urban piece, and the city as a mine.
SaloneSatellite and the talk calendar
More than 600 will be the protagonists of the 23rd SaloneSatellite, entitled “Designing for our future selves” – designed to foster targeted contacts between young designers and the companies exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile. The SaloneSatellite is also renewed in its layout, designed around the theme of the piazza as a meeting place to underline the role of this event in creating new connections between international design schools, young people, and new start-ups and the world of production.
Bathroom and kitchen protagonists of this edition
Among the side events at the fair, we mention the biennial EuroCucina, now in its 23rd edition. Gathering 82 exhibitors united by the wide range of products on display – spread over an area of 16,000 square meters – the furniture companies that will bring total living will present their kitchen proposals on their respective stands. Here the domestic hearth will be confirmed as a multifunctional space, an expression of contemporary living with increasingly blurred boundaries.
As a natural complement to EuroCucina, FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) will showcase responsible, inclusive and connected technology for a more sustainable future. The event aims to be a privileged moment of reflection on domestic technology through the presentation of innovative products, prototypes and concepts of what will be the art of preserving and cooking. In this edition, technology will be more and more responsible and resilient, human, intuitive, accessible and easily integrated into our lives.
Salone del Mobile has always been a catalyst for creativity and energy. It is a generator of beauty, inclusion, new opportunities
