AI + ARCHITECTURE — A New Era of Design Through Artificial Intelligence with Matthias Hollwich
The aim of this event is to open a professional conversation on the transformative influence of Artificial Intelligence in architecture and the processes of conceptualization and design. Through the experience of internationally renowned architect Matthias Hollwich, co-founder of Architizer.com and HWKN Architecture.
The event creates a space for reflection and dialogue on how AI can function as a creative partner, expanding the conceptual and innovative capacities of the architectural profession.
Mr. Hollwich will present his design philosophy and share real case studies where AI has contributed to the development of concepts and the preparation of fully implementable architectural projects
ABOUT MATTHIAS HOLLWICH
Matthias Hollwich is a German-born architect and design innovator based in New York, co-founder of the global architecture platform Architizer and the architecture studio HWKN. With formative experience in some of the most influential design practices in the world: OMA, Eisenman Architects, and Diller + Scofidio.
As the principal of HWKN, Hollwich has led diverse international projects in urban design, mixed-use developments, and residential architecture. His work has earned recognition from Fast Company as one of the world’s most innovative architects and from Business Insider as a leading business visionary.
A central theme in his work is the idea of architecture as a tool for wellbeing and longevity, explored in his book New Aging: Live Smarter Now to Live Better Forever, which promotes intergenerational community spaces and active living environments.
More recently, Hollwich has focused on exploring how Artificial Intelligence can reshape the design process, professional roles, and the way cities are imagined and built. He believes AI does not replace the architect it frees the architect to focus on creativity, strategy, and social impact.
