Positioned on the outskirts of the city of Tirana, Vila Kont is an example of a successful reconstruction of an existing villa, adapting it to a modern design. In the design phase, the structure was intervened to incorporate the existing external stairs.
The position of the stairs influenced the main organization of spaces and the definition of circulation corridors.
On the first floor, a common space of the day area has been created, placing the living room and the kitchen in the same space. This solution made it possible for the second floor to be dedicated exclusively to the night area.
The large glass facade provides natural lighting throughout the space inside and the entrance has been enlarged to improve access to the villa.
