It is not usual in our country for architects to receive such requests for the realization of a showroom that reflects in every detail the philosophy of a good life without compromises.
Vanto is a project, which is dedicated to electrical household products of an elite quality and design, so in the design task, the expectations were for the realization of a completely different experience and not seen before. In conclusion, we had to create an experiential showroom, where every device can be functionally tested. Therefore a special importance, in this interior, has been given to a dedicated area for tasting food and drinks, supporting the lively life of the showroom.
Also through the exposure of the internal technology of the devices, like a museum showcasing art objects, it gives every visitor the opportunity to be informed more about the technology that Vanto promotes with so much pride.
In concept, Vanto is the opposite of a classic showroom with products placed in a row that are difficult to identify from each other, therefore the project concept starts with the planimetric development, which deviates from the classic scheme of a parallel showcase to the glass exhibitor.
The floor plan is dominated by a diagonal axis, which divides the showcase from the interior into spaces that don't follow the right angles. This diagonal axis also translates into the materials selected for this project. For the treatment of the floor, resin with a mosaic effect was used in the showcase area, the base of which has reddish tones, while the rest was treated with resin with a concrete effect.
In creating the scenic effect of large spaces, the considerable height of the space is emphasized more by the industrial ceiling. Although all the air conditioning and lighting elements are exposed, the treatment of the ceiling with light tones makes the space emphasize all its height.
In order to balance the minimalism and purity of the materials, some elements have been placed in the central areas that make the space more warm and welcoming. The presence of the water basin, the organic and fluid form of the short meeting table, the presence of greenery integrated in the interior, balance the simplicity that is observed in the clean blocks placed in the perimeter.
The purpose of this project is to create spaces that are in full function of the advertised product, highlighting all its characteristics. This is achived by not placing the product in a classic kitchen or laundry, but in a minimally curated space like a stage or showcase that exhibits a "work of art".
Vanto is inaugurated this September, on the 29th, in a celebration where architects, entrepreneurs and supporters are specially invited.
