This time, Med Studio comes back with an object with the 'Bakery & Pastry' typology but with a different location, which seems to have been quite challenging for the studio.

"La Coco" is a pastry shop and bakery in Kamëz (Tirana, Albania). The main goal of the design was for this object to raise the standard and requirements for service facilities in this area.

The facility is positioned at an intersection that is ideal for its accessibility. There are two entrances, one from the main road, and one from the secondary road.

This space was intended to look like a showcase for bread and sweets as well as a place for customers to enjoy the products. The materials that are used create a harmony with each other, conveying positive feelings.

What we see today after the realization of the project is that all of the elements of the initial concept are enriched with details such as shape, texture, material, and lighting. The key point of the project and what gives life to the space is the glass brick, which represents transparency, illumination, variety and light.

The sales part with the production part are connected to each other by a transparent glass partition but also communicate with high floor-ceiling doors with rails, which can stay open and create a very easy interaction between them.

The use of materials that are similar and close to each other highlight the product. Also, covering the walls with tiles ensures a higher hygiene for the space, while the texture itself gives warmth and the right background for the bread.

Pink metallic elements are also used to break the uniformity of the other materials. Also, the combination of metal, glass and stone is a very suitable combination for the atmosphere of the object that we wanted.

The facility is well lighted during the day by the large windows on both sides of the facades, and during the night concentrated lighting has been created to expose the product but also for the space.

It is worth emphasizing the fact that the client was very cooperative, in this way the final result was easier to achieve. We would be very happy if you really visit the pastry shop.
