Brutal

“Brutal” occupies the basement and the first floor of the building that used to be a “Bistro” and remained unoccupied for more than 10 years.

The main challenge was to deal with a lack of height and light, that is what guided us into choosing a reflective palette for all the materials.

Soft grey tones with a reflecting texture and metal copper sheets walls define the aesthetics of the venue. We had to hide all engineering systems into the perimetral copper walls to manifest the unique character of the place. You cannot see any wire or cable inside the space, only a clean continuous grey texture and copper sheets.

The restaurant has 2 halls with another more secluded space and an open kitchen which interacts directly with the client.

There is plenty of copper in the restaurant’s interior. It emphasizes the nobility of the place and works as an impressive contrast with the artwork on the walls.

LED tracks reflect from the perimetral walls into the “marmorino” texture emphasizing verticality.

Such a structure of light provides an effect of a rich and warm beam which enlightens the space most comfortably and never blinds in guests' eyes.

Besides copper, in the interior you can see solid oak, leather and velvet.
