Shopping Center Park Design

The project for the shopping centre defines the large open space overlooking the sea with a multi-functional approach, with spaces for relaxation and outdoor recreational activities, but also able to host exhibitions and events.

The headquarters of the AÏSHTI Mall & Foundation, located in Jab el-Dib, north of Greater Beirut, is undergoing a process of renovation. The construction of a new Shopping Centre and the Contemporary Art Gallery, together with a new open space overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, are radically changing the appearance of the site.

The project for the mall involves the new open space of about 8,000 square meters, located between the buildings and the sea, which is configured as a multifunctional container for relaxation and outdoor recreational activities, and an opportunity for exhibitions and events.

The relationship between the buildings, the open space and the water has been strengthened by the project for the shopping centre to give more identity and functionality to the site. The design of the flowerbeds runs parallel to the coastline, with transverse paths oriented so as to direct the eye towards the Beirut skyline on the other side of the gulf.

Particular attention has been paid to the materials and furnishings, such as the flooring, whose design defines collected spaces in which to rest in the shade of the trees. Water games and exhibition spaces guarantee a high variety of activities that can be carried out in the area, making the design for the shopping centre very attractive to visitors.
