SHIFT's office designed by BKA Architects is located in a modernist building in Tetovo’s downtown. The 76 m² office space, with an open plan and surrounded by large windows, allow for abundant natural light and panoramic views of the mountains near by.

The space was designed as an integrated environment, using only one flooring line to separate the work, meeting, and chilling areas. This approach allows each area to have its specific function and at the same time maintain a visual connection between them, delimiting the areas without compromising the sense of unity of the space.

The entire materiality of the room has neutral tones with different textures and pop up coloured walls in turquoise , adding visual complexity and tactility to the environment. The monolithic coating in sand/wood tone applied to the floor, the walls in grey cement technique and the turquoise colour in the meeting corner brings unity and harmony.

The furniture is designed in such a way as to fulfil the demand of the users. Working stations were inspired to encourage the exchange of ideas between employees, at the same time gathering them together. The white top piece & turquoise bottom of furniture follows the existing elements of the building, blends and reinforces the visual cohesion between the other elements.

The technical lighting is solved by non symmetrical, chaotic linear channels that run through the room, causing the light to be diluted in different ways in the textures of the floor, walls, and ceiling.

The sum of different elements: patterns, dividers, light and a variety of textures, makes the area a timeless space that enhances productivity through teamwork and individual work areas.
