Përshkrimi
The Dukë project entails the reimagining of a section within the Dukagjini hotel, originally from the 1950s. Over time, the hotel transitioned through various uses, yet never quite recaptured its initial grandeur. The objective of this project is to revive the hotel’s former splendor by blending the building's elegant era with a contemporary sensibility.
The interior architecture prominently features rhythmic arches that create a simple yet elegant flow. These arches frame a bespoke mosaic in cheerful pastel hues, serving as a captivating focal point. The mosaic harmonizes the space, guiding the gaze seamlessly from the entrance to the terrace. Enhancing the walls are wood paneling that adds further refinement. Above these panels, treated with a relief in calce cruda and a specially crafted pattern, provide texture and depth.
A centerpiece of the design is the bar counter, a fusion of wood panels against a reflective backdrop of mirrors and glass shelves. This design element evokes a sense of drama, creating the illusion of floating bottles.
Seating arrangements vary strategically: inside, high chairs contribute to a shabby yet refined ambiance, while the terrace offers individual tables and sofas for flexibility and choice.
The primary lighting feature comprises wooden barrels adorned with crystal chandeliers, imparting a warm and inviting atmosphere that marries comfort with sophistication. Additional table lighting ensures privacy, while custom orange patio lights enhance the warmth and glow of the outdoor space, complementing its natural surroundings.
A large vase filled with flowers adorns a terrace corner, extending the natural theme indoors through a strategically positioned window that connects both spaces. The terrace floor, once pale gray tiles, now boasts a vibrant carpet adorned with floral motifs in bright orange, enhancing the space's overall aura.
Furniture selections emphasize modern lines: sofas in green with a subtle floral pattern, dark oak tables paired with wooden chairs featuring wicker seats.
Large windows, dressed in white bamboo textile curtains, frame the terrace and offer breathtaking views of the Rugova Gorge. This picturesque backdrop, combined with the terrace's refined design, makes Dukë an ideal setting for enjoying a glass of rosé wine at sunset.
