PEP house

The project has attempted to interpret the notion of traditional architecture by offering a sharp contrast with the urban context of the area. The request for renovation of the facades and for expansion by the family led to the idea to treat the part of the facade as a skin, adding it, to form a cube on which the roof with two levels was raised. The openings of the facade were adapted to a new formal existence which starts outside in the skin and continues in the spaces inside, to create continuity and connection. The internal spatial structure did not allow for changes, but was submitted to the new formal language that has begun on the facade. Natural local stone, okume wood and stuccoed wall surfaces have been used throughout the house.
