Përshkrimi
Situated on the steep terrain near the village of Paldenicë, Kosovo, this project is a modest yet contemporary interpretation of the retreat house. The house's placement at the end of the property allows for a large front yard and approach area.
The client requested the common area of the house and the private parts, including the bedrooms, to be divided into two sections. Consequently, two volumes facing one another were created. The bedrooms requested a lower ceiling considering they are a more intimate space than the living room and kitchen area.
Large windows were positioned to ensure that views were available on all four sides, fusing the interior with the outside environment. In order to complement the natural surroundings and make the scenery the main focus of the space, we primarily used wood finishes and white surfaces for the interior design. Black metal accents and accessories were added with the intention of balancing the natural surfaces and complementing the house's exterior.
HPL panels were selected as the façade finishing. The contrasting combination of white frames, wooden panels, and black panels creates the dynamic composition.
