Festive lighting, Lucy in the center of Zurich, named after the Beatles song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is the headline of the holidays in Zurich, enchanting everyone.
Every year, the festive lighting of the end of the year "Lucy" is switched on during the night of the shopping day, also marking the beginning of the festive season. Lucy wraps the evening atmosphere under a magical cloak of light and creates a warm atmosphere for visitors.
Lucy lighting consists of 11,500 uniquely cut crystals. Depending on the viewing angle, these crystals shine differently. A computerized system changes the intensity of the lighting constantly. The crystals contain 23,100 energy-saving LEDs. They create a starry sky effect and an amazing atmosphere. A fascinating and environmentally friendly atmosphere, with 3000 Watts of power, similar to the power of a cooking oven.
Lucy has been lighting up the center of Zurich, Banhoff Strasse since 1971, joint project of architects Daniele Marques, Charles Keller and Adrian Schiess. The "Zürich" crystal is produced by Artemide.
You can find Artemide lamps only at Studio Luce by A Bi Esse.
